After reading Simply Nicole’s 101 in 1001 I was inspired to begin my blog with a to-do list of my own. Since then, I have read several 101 lists of various bloggers. My goal is to complete this list by Feb. 26, 2018. Between composing this list and publishing it I have completed a few of the items.
101 things to do in 1001 days
- Read the Bible all the way through
- Spend daily time with the Lord
- Attend or begin a woman’s Bible study (I love Elizabeth George)
- Attend a photography workshop
Learn how to use Google Docs in the classroom( Aug. 2016)- Write a book (I have been approached to begin writing an autobiography for someone. I’ll give more details later.)
- Start making money from my blog
Dedicatethe spare room to my photography studioObtain 3,000 followers on Pinterest ( I’m at 578 now) (I’m not quite sure when I hit the 3,000 mark but as of today, Feb. 28, 2017, I have over 4,700 followers. )- Increase the savings account to 10,000
- Become debt free
Visit the Biltmore (Aug. 10, 2015)- Go on a New England Cruise
Stay at the Great Wolf LodgeGo to Disney World(Although I can’t technically cross this goal off just yet, we are leaving for Disney on Nov. 3.)- See the giant Redwood trees
- Read 30+ books
Learn to make breadHave 1,000 followers on my blog- Participate in a vendor’s fair
- Finish my Koi pond
Finish reorganizing and decorating my office( I finished this around August of 2016. I love working in there now.)- Make photo cards for Christmas
- Learn to make and can pickles
- Stop drinking Vanilla Coke for one week a month.
- Do a 52-week money challenge
- Knit a scarf and hat
- Take a road trip through Ohio
Attend another OCALI conferenceRespond to at least one blogger per weekUpdate my photo( I did update my photo a few months ago.)- Complete the garden in the back yard
- Buy a gun
Make an original art piece for the living room- Attend a Sunrise service on Easter
- Attend a “Dancing with the Stars” show (My favorite show)
- Stay a night at the Greenbrier in WV
- Tile the bar in our shelter house
Decorate the pool and shelter area- Visit every state in the US
- Play a board game and/or cards with grandkids at least twice a month
- Go to Branson, Missouri
Start an Instagram account- Learn more about using Photoshop
Set my retirement date from teaching(July 1, 2019)Go to bed by 11:00 for a week(When there is a little one in the house that wants you to lay down with him this goal no longer is a problem. I would lay down with him around 8:00 and wake up in the morning.)Blog at least twice a week( Although I have managed to blog more frequently and have blogged several times more than once a week, I am still not as consistent as I need to be. It’s a work in progress.)- Buy a designer camera bag
- Learn how to design a website
- Plan a lunch with old friends
Cover the chair cushions on outdoor furniture(Stay tuned to a post about this. I will have pictures also.)- Get a white pomeranian (My favorite dog)
- Go to the Kentucky Derby
- Visit the Florida Keys
- Put $10 into savings for every goal accomplished
- Use the treadmill at least twice a week
- See an outdoor drama
- Begin a photography series
- Create a blogging schedule
- Reorganize book shelves
- Take a web design workshop/class
- Practice the piano more
Go to an amusement parkAttend church at least 3 times per month( We have been attending church more regularly than we have in the past few years. After 43 years of prayer, my husband has finally began attending church on a more regular basis.)- Make 15 crafts from Pinterest

Attend 3 educational workshops- Go to a concert in the park

- Build a snowman
Make snow ice cream (My granddaughter and I made snow ice cream when we had our last significant snowfall. It’s been a pretty warm and dry winter.)- Send flowers to my daughters on their birthdays
- Improve my credit score
- Drink 2 glasses of water a day
Donate/ work at the food bank(I do this on a regular basis. This is where all my extra grocery bags go, along with cans of various items that we don’t eat.)- Complete 3 devotionals
Inspire someone to create 101 goals( After showing my daughter my goals, she said she is planning on writing her own list.)- Lose 25 – 50 lbs
- Publish a photo book
- Go to a craft fair
- Photograph a scene in all four seasons
Complete husband’s family history bookPurchase a deacon’s bench for kitchen table- Attend a Renassance Festival
- Grow something from seeds
Teach granddaughters how to sew( This past summer I taught sewing classes to several young 4-Her’s. )- Do a photo challenge
- Teach granddaughter piano
Make homemade ice cream- Stain fireplace hearth and mantle
- Make a new list at the end of this one.
Looking at these goals and the due date, I know that they all will not get done. That’s ok though, they will start out my next list.
